Cleary's Sheppard, UMD's Dell Named Hockey Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, SID's have chosen Cleary's Bennett Sheppard as the Offensive Player of the Week and UM-Dearborn's David as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Sheppard repeats as offensive player of the week for the third straight week, continuing his hot stretch of play. The junior was one of two Cleary players to earn six points last weekend, and he did so with his 3rd hat-trick of the season, all within the last six games. Sheppard has now surpassed his season point total for 2024-25 with 29, and became just the fourth Cleary player all-time to earn at least 100 career points. 

Dell, a junior from White Lake, led the Wolverines to a weekend sweep of UM-Flint. Dell tallied four points from his defensive position (three assists and a goal) in the team's two wins.
