Women's Golf Takes 2nd at Cleary Cougar Fall Invite

(Brighton, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's golf team dealt with the elements, as the finished just two strokes out of first place to take second at the Cleary Cougar Fall Invitational Monday at Oak Pointe Country Club.
Cleary entered two teams into the event.
For the "A" team:
- Olivia Root shot an 86, +15, to claim 2nd place overall, leading the Cougars
- Autumn Blaney shot an 89 to tie for 5th place
- Alexis Sharplin and Lauryn Jerke both shot 94 to tie for 15th
- Madeline Swett shot a 95 to finish in 21st
As a team, the Cougars shot 363 to finish in 2nd place, just 2 strokes behind Siena Heights University, who shot 361.
For the"B" team:
- Olivia Rushton shot a 90 to tie for 8th place
- Kelsey Elliott shot a 102, and tied for 27th
- Maryann Montgomery shot a 103 to finish in 31st
- Emma Smith shot a 104 to finish in 32nd
- Jana L'Esperance shot a 105 to finish in 33rd
