Softball Picked to Finish 5th in WHAC Preseason Coaches Poll

(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has released it's 2026 Softball preseason coaches poll, and Cleary has been picked to finish in 4th place.

Two-time defending regular season champion Madonna was picked to win the conference with all eleven first place votes.  Indiana Tech, UNOH, and Cornerstone were each picked to finish second through fourth, just ahead of the Cougars.

Last season, Cleary went 18-26 overall, 13-11 in the WHAC, and earned the six-seed in the WHAC tournament.

The Cougars will open their season on Saturday, February 7, when they play in the 'Dome Tournament' on the campus of St. Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa.  Cleary will play their home opener on Friday, March, 20, when they host the University of Olivet Comets in a double-header beginning at 3:00 PM.
