Cougar's Finish 9th in WHAC Fall Preview Tournament

(Augusta, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar Men's golf team traveled to Augusta, MI this week to take on the two-day WHAC Fall Preview Tournament. The men would play a stroke play round on day one finishing 9th out of 12 teams. Day two would bring match-play where they would be paired with Concordia and defeat the Cardinals. They would play another match-play setting on day two as they took on the Aquinas Saints and defeated them 3-2. 

• Basile Malempre led the Cougars in stroke play tying for 13th overall, posting a score of 74. 

• Dylan Sokol finished with over par for his final score of 79, tying him for 39th place overall. 

• Johnny Fackler tied for 40th overall, posting a score of 81. 

• James Armbrust would follow Johnny Fackler, shooting an 82 to finish 43rd overall. 

• Logan Smith would tie for 45th place overall, shooting an 84. 

The Cougars will be back out on the course when they host the Cleary University Fall Invitational this Friday, September, 29 at Chemung Hills Golf Club.
