Esports Weekly Recap: Week of February 6

(Howell, MI)-- Here is the weekly recap for Cleary esports for the week of February 6:
On Monday: Rocket League team had their first NACE match of the year in the Varsity Plus league and beat Kennesaw State University in a very close series 3-2.
On Tuesday: Overwatch 2 team opened their WHAC season against Lawrence Tech. They lost a close series 1-3.
On Wednesday: Call of Duty B team won their first match of the NACE season convincingly, 3-0 over Keiser University - Pembroke Pines. The Valorant team won 2-0 over the University of North Carolina in their first week of NACE competition. Finally, the Call of Duty A team started off their first week of NACE with a BYE.
On Saturday: Rocket League team played in the first ever major tournament hosted by the newly formed Great Lakes Collegiate Rocket League (GLCRL). While the team lost both series, they were against tough opponents in Grand Valley State University and Purdue University. Luckily, qualifying for the major tournament automatically qualifies Cleary Rocket League for their first ever in person event coming up in April as well!
The League of Legends team also had their first WHAC match of the season facing off against Aquinas College. This was a battle of the two teams tied for first in the pre-season coaches poll, as the very first match of the season. Cleary won handily 2-0 to cement early season standings within the WHAC.
