Liam Kocur Cougar Spotlight

(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University hockey goalie Liam Kocur is being recognized in this week's Cougar Spotlight.

Kocur, a senior from Milford, Michigan, made 38 saves on 40 shots faced in Saturday night's 4-2 victory over the visiting Lawrence Tech Blue Devils.  After giving up two early power play goals, Kocur was a wall, and shut out the Blue Devils in the second and third periods en route to the victory.  The win was his 7th of this season, to lead the team.  He joins teammate Wes Smith as the only Cougars to be recognized by the conference this season.  For his efforts, Kocur was named the WHAC's defensive player of the week for the week of November 27.

You can catch Kocur and the rest of the hockey team back at 140 Ice Den this Friday evening, when they host the Eastern Michigan Eagles in a non-conference matchup.  The puck will drop at 7:30 PM.
