(Ann Arbor, MI)-- The Cleary Cougars women's lacrosse team was coming off a victory for the second time this season, and for the second time, they were unable to win consecutive games, as they fell to the host Concordia Cardinals 20-2 Saturday afternoon.
Concordia dominated the first quarter, building a 9-0 lead through the first fifteen minutes, and would score the first three goals of the second quarter before Natalie Busen scored to finish off the half, as the deficit would be 12-1 at the half.
In the second half, Concordia would score the first three goals before Mallory Tognetti scored from a free position attempt to score the Cougars' final goal of the game. Concordia would go on to win 20-2.
Kennedy Stilson would take the loss in goal, making 10 saves in 27 minutes of play. Cleary will next be in action on Wednesday, April 13, when they travel to Mishawaka, Indiana to take on the Bethel Pilots in a WHAC matchup. The game is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM.
