Wrestlers Participate at Indiana Little State Open

(Fort Wayne, IN)-- The Cleary Cougar wrestling team participated in the Indiana Little State Open Saturday, and the team continued to show success.
- In the 125 lb. weight class, Landon Demorest lost his first match via a major decision (14-3) to Nasir Christion of Manchester. He would be pinned in his consolation round match to Daven Lockwood of Rochester in 3:55.
- Logan Ladach earned a pin in his first round match in just 1:50 over Indiana Tech's Michael Tharpe. Ladach would have to medically withdraw his next matches.
- After losing to Elliott Rodgers of Marian in his first round match, Lenton Patrick won via a forfeit, and thin pinned Trine's Trey Tobias in 1:30 to advance to the consolation round three, where he lost via a major decision 5-15 to Trine's Zach Lusk.
- Wyatt Clements was pinned in his first match by Trine's Mark Stanton in 3:59. In the consolation round, Clements pinned Ancilla's Antonio Alexander in just 26 seconds, but was pinned by Rio Grande's Pate Eastin in his final match.
There were no team scores for this tournament. The Cougars will be back in action this Saturday, December 9, when they travel to Port Huron to participate in the Skippers Open.
