Wrestling Drops Dual at NCAA D2 Davenport

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar wrestling team played their first dual match of the season Thursday evening in Grand Rapds, as they took on the NCAA D2 Davenport Panthers.
- Logan Ladach lost a decision in the 141 lb. class by a score of 5-2
- In the 157 lb class, Ty Johnson won by a pin in 4:17, earning the team 6 points
- Zander Bradsher lost his bout in the 165 lb. class by a technical fall
- In the 174 lb. class, Lenton Patrick won his back by a pin in 4:20, earning the Cougars 6 points
- Wyatt Clements dropped his match in the 184 lb. class by a technical fall
As a team, Cleary picked up 12 points from the pair of pins earned, but dropped the match overall by a score of 12-37.
The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to participate in the Little State Open hosted by Indiana Tech.
