Cougars Wrestle at Albion Open

(Albion, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar wrestling team participated in the Albion Open Sunday afternoon, hosted by Albion College.

• In the 141 Lb. Class: Logan Ladach lost by a major decision in his first match 11-0, and lost his consolation round matchup 11-2 to go 0-2 on the day.
• In the 149 Lb. Class: Carson Boisvert lost his first round matchup via pin, and then lost his consolation round matchup via pin as well, going 0-2 on the day.
• In the 157 Lb. Class: Ty Johnson won his first round matchup by major decision, 11-0, to advance to the quarterfinals.  He would lose his quarterfinal matchup by a 9-4 decision, and then was pinned in his consolation round match, going 1-2 on the day.
• In the 165 Lb. Class: Zander Bradsher won via a major decision 13-4 in his first round matchup, but he lost his second match via a pin, and his consolation round matchup via pin as well, going 1-2 on the day.
• In the 174 Lb. Class: Wyatt Clemons was pinned in his first round and second round matches, going 0-2 on the day.

As the tournament was an open, there was no team score awarded.  Cleary will be back in action after Thanksgiving, when they take on NCAA D2 Davenport University in a dual match on November 30.
