Hoelscher and Daugard Place at Don Kleinow Memorial to Lead Track & Field

(Howell, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's track & field teams were in action in their final tune-up before next weekend's WHAC Championships, as they competed in the two-day Don Kleinow Memorial hosted by Siena Heights University.

 In the Men's Meet:

• In the 400 M, Jameson Watson would finish in 12th Place, with a time of 55.21. Jacob Chouinard would finish in 15th with a 56.88, while Preston Mackenzie finished in 18th Place

• Ben Iobe would finish in 34th Place in the 800 m with a time of 2:14.93. Noah Blondke would finish in 37th, while Logan Betke finished in 39th

• Finishing in 33rd Place in the 1500 m was Ben Iobe, who ran a 4:27.40. Noah Blondke finished 2 seconds back and claimed 34th place, while Hunter Anderson finished in 36th and Jose Domecq in 38th

• In the discus, Derrick Murray threw 38.34 M to finish in 8th place. Robert Karageorge  would throw 35.04 m to finish in 14th, while Logan Rogers finished in 17th place

• With a 14th Place finish in the hammer was Derrick Murray, who threw 35.98 m. Logan Rogers threw 35.37 M to finish in 15th, while Hunter Blackhurst would finish in 20th

• Rodrick Campbell would finish in 11th place in the javelin with a throw of 39.26 M Luke St. Ledger would finish in 13th

•  In the long jump, Simbarashe Mazarura finished in 8th place with a jump of 6.47 M, while Rodrick Campbell finished in 21st place

• Earning a fifth place finish in the shot put was Ryan Kincaid, who threw 12.92 M. Robert Karageorge finished in 13th, and Logan Rogers finished in 15th

 In the Women's Meet:

• Adisyn Pierce claimed a 14th Place finish in the 400 m, with a time of 1:08.58

• In the 400 M hurdles, Samantha Hoelscher finished in second place with a time of 1:02.64 and qualified for the NAIA Championship meet at Indiana Wesleyan

• Rylie Bjorkman ran a 2:39.86 to finish in 26th in the 800 M, while Kiera Smith finished in 38th

• Lily Daugard earned a second place finish in the Hammer with a throw of 42.10 M

• Daugard then won the shot put with a throw of 12.73 M

• In the javelin, Amelia Jason claimed a 14th place finish with a throw of 21.49 M

Both teams will now look ahead to next week's WHAC Championships, which will take place on Thursday and Friday in Fort Wayne Indiana.
