Indoor Track and Field Competes in WHAC Championship; Awards Announced
(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams were in action Friday and Saturday in Grand Rapids, as they competed in the WHAC Championship Meet.
In the Men's Meet:

In the 60M, Brayden Jones would place 23rd with a time of 7.36. And Rodrick Campbell would finish with a time of 7.65 for 27th place.

In the 200M, Jacob Chouinard would place 24th with a time of 24.71.

In the 400M, Preston Mackenzie would finish in 19th place with a time of 55.76. And Jose Domecq would place 22nd with a time of 1:00.62.

In the 800M, Preston Mackenzie will finish in 23rd place with a time of 2:40.03. And Logan Betke would finish behind in 24th place with a time of 2:44.74.

In the 3000M, Ben Iobe would finish with a time of 9:54.73 for a 29th place result. And Hunter Anderson followed behind in 30th place with a time of 10:03.18.

In the 5000M, Ben Iobe would place 24th with a time of 17:28.81. And Hunter Anderson would finish behind in 25th place with a time of 17:31.76.

In the Shot Put, Ryan Kincaid would place 7th with a distance of 13.26m. Derrick Murray would result in a distance of 11.64m for 17th place. Robert Karageorge would place 19th with a distance of 11.46m. And Logan Rogers would have a distance of 10.52m for 24th place.

In the Long Jump, Jacob Chouinard would place 14th for a distance of 5.99m. And Rodrick Campbell would finish with a jump of 5.86m for a 16th place result.

In the Weight Throw, Derrick Murray would place 12th with a throw of 12.55m. Logan Rogers would finish with a throw of 12.15 for a 14th place result. Ryan Kincaid would have a 20th place result with a throw of 9.38m. And Robert Karageorge would finish in 22nd place with a throw of 8.87m
As a team, Cleary would tie for 9th place with 2 team points.
In the Women's Meet:

In the 200M, Adisyn Pierce would place 24th with a time of 29.18.

In the 400M, Adisyn Pierce would finish with a time of 1:07.15 for a 20th-place result.

In the 800M, Rylie Bjorkman would place 17th with a time of 2:37.78.

In the Weight Throw, Lily Daugard would finish in 4th place with a throw of 14.49m.

In the Shot Put, Lily Daugard would place 6th with a throw of 12.16m
As a team, Cleary finished in 7th place with 8 team points.
Also announced at the meet were the All-Conference, All-Academic, and Champions of Character awards.
Being recognized as Cleary's representatives on the Champions of Character team were Logan Betke and Lily Daugard for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA.
Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team. To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year. They were (in alphabetical order):
