WHAC Announces Men's Soccer Awards

(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its 2025 season awards, and multiple Cougars have been recognized.

Highlighting the award season for the Cougars was Jack Heald, who was named First-Team All-WHAC.  Heald, a junior from Mansfield, England, led the Cougars with 21 total points this season.  He was tied for the team lead with 6 goals, and he was second on the team with 9 assists.

Being named to the Second-Team All-WHAC was goalkeeper Austin Freemire.  Freemire, a senior from Kalamazoo, Michigan, finished the season with a 9-6 record, made 59 saves, had a 1.94 goals against average, and finished with 4 shutouts this season.

Both Atario Brown and Callum Johnson were named to the WHAC's Newcomer Team.  Brown, a freshman from Tamarac, Florida, was tied with Heald for the team lead with 6 goals scored.  He also added 5 assists to give him a total of 17 points on the season.  Johnson, a freshman from Derby, England, scored 5 goals, but led the team with 10 assists on the year.

Captain Conner Savidge was named as Cleary's representative to the Champion of Character team, for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA.

Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team.  To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year.  They were (in alphabetical order):
