(Augusta, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar Men's Golf team hit the course after hosting the Cleary University Invitational, to Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan, for the WHAC Fall Preview. Within this Fall Preview, the Cougars would play 3 rounds, 2 on the first day, and 1 on the second. The men would finish the 3 rounds in 4th place overall. They finished with a team score of 916. Their round scores over the two days would be 309, 301, and 306.

  • Axel Houdaille led the Cougars with round scores of 76, 74, and 71 to tie for 6th place overall. 

  • Basile Malempre finished tied for 11th overall after posting round scores of 78, 76, and 71.

  • Johnny Fackler ended the two-day tournament with round scores of 77, 73, and 79 to tie for 22nd overall. 

  • Kaden Patterson tied for 46th overall with round scores of 78, 78, and 86. 

  • Joseph Maruskin would finish the two-day tournament with the scores of 78, 88, and 85 for a 63rd place overall.

  • Seth Sherry, who was entered as an individual, finished in 30th place overall after posting round scores of 78, 80, and 74. 

  • Rory Sturos was also entered as an individual, tied for 16th place overall with the round scores of 81, 72, 73.

The Men's Golf team will continue their season on Friday, September 26, for the LTU Fall Invitational. The Invitational will take place at Farmington Hills Golf Club, Farmington, MI.
