Houdaille Named Second Team All-Conference for Men's Golf; Season Awards Announced
(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced it's 2025 season awards for men's golf, and multiple student-athletes have been recognized.
Axel Houdaille became the first men's golfer since the 2020-21 season to earn post-season recognition for men's golf, as he was named Second-Team All-WHAC. Houdaille, a freshman from Glanville, France, had the ninth best total scores of the combined WHAC Fall Preview and this week's WHAC Championships, both played at Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan. He shot rounds of 71-73-72 in the fall, and rounds of 78-75-77 this week to total 446 strokes. He fell just four strokes out of a tie for sixth place, which would have earned him First-Team All-WHAC.
Basile Malempre was named to the Champion of Character team, for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA, which demonstrates the NAIA's core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team. To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year. They were (in alphabetical order):
