Men's Golf Finishes 4th at Lourdes Invite

(Ottawa Lake, MI)-- The Cleary Cougars men's golf team opened up their 2022 season with a 4th place finish, as they played in the Lourdes Invitational hosted at the Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan last Thursday.
- Newcomer Basile Malempre led the Cougars with a +1, 73, to finish in a tie for 7th place
- Cam Thomas finished in a tie for 9th, after shooting a +2, 74
- Dylan Sokol shot a +3, 75, to earn a tie for 12th
- Connor Stiles was entered as an individual, but shot a +4, 76, to earn a tie for 17th
- Logan Smith earned a tie for 42nd after shooting an 82
- Ricky Plait and Justin Reddy rounded out the scores for the Cougars with rounds of 90 and 94 respectively
As a team, Cleary shot 304 to earn a 4th place finish in the season's first tournament.
The Cougars will be back in action next Tuesday, September 20, when they play in the Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Trine University's Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
