Men's and Women's Bowling Come Up Short at WHAC Championships

(Lansing, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams were in Lansing Saturday, as they bowled in the double-elimination WHAC Championships at Royal Scot.

In the Men's Bracket:  Cleary came in as the 8-seed, and lost to 1-seed Indiana Tech in their first round matchup, 214-193, 248-201, 234-176, losing 3-0, and sending them to the lower bracket.  In the lower bracket, they were paired with 5-seed Rochester Christian, who defeated the Cougars 3-0, 225-219, 212-196, 210-171.

In the Women's Bracket: Cleary entered the day as the 7-seed, and were matched up against 2-seed Lawrence Tech.  The Blue Devils would defeat the Cougars 3-0, 191-158, 160-151, 180-156, sending Cleary to the lower bracket.  In the lower bracket, Cleary was paired with 6-seed Lourdes, who defeated the Cougars 3-0, 155-149, 175-165, 169-152.

Cleary will look ahead to the USBC ITC Sectionals on Saturday, March 14, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
