Men's and Women's Bowling Compete at WHAC's Michigan Open in Sterling Heights
(Sterling Heights, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams returned to action after a month away from the lanes, with the WHAC's third jamboree of the season, the Michigan Open.
In the Men's Tournament:
- Xander Finkbeiner was the high finisher for Cleary after bowling games of 207-205-198 to finish in a tie for 18th place with 610 total pins.
- In a tie for 21st was Howie Hammond, who bowled games of 215-184-208
- Also tying for 21st was Tyler Gordon, who bowled games of 248-181-178
- With games of 243-196-162 was Ethan Parker, who finished in 26th
- Matthew Radjewski would bowl games of 165-236-198 to finish in 29th
- Ryan Ching would finish in 51st after bowling games of 181-168-193
- With games of 159-185-175 was Evan Martin, who finished in 61st
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,522 pins to finish in 10th place. Cleary's JV team would knock down 5,836 pins, and finished in 4th place.
In the Women's Tournament:
- Olivia Solomon led the Cougars with a 23rd place finish, with games of 166-181-186 to total 533 pins
- Finishing in 25th was Grace Polega, who bowled games of 155-157-215
- With games of 170-190-146 was Aubrey Rowlson, who finished in 34th
- Courtney Witten would finish in a tie for 50th with games of 162-147-143
- Addison Wonnacott would only bowl in two games, and she had scores of 167-168
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,068 pins and finished in 7th place.
The Cougars will finish out the semester and then travel to Las Vegas to bowl in two tournaments. They will participate in the Glenn Carlson on December 18-19, and the Collegiate Shootout on December 20-21.
