Women's Bowling Claims 8th, Men in 10th at WHAC Jackson Open

(Jackson, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams began their 2025-26 campaign with the WHAC's Jackson Open today at JAX60 Lanes in Jackson, Michigan.
In the Men's Meet:
- Howie Hammond bowled a three-game series of 193-233-224 to finish in 13th place, and totalling 650 pins
- Finishing in 51st was AJ Clark, who bowled a three-game series of 184-192-191, and totalled 567 pins
- Knocking down 556 total pins was Ethan Parker, who had a three-game series of 556, and finished in 55th
- Xander Finkbeiner bowled three-games of 233-182-135, and finished with a total of 550 pins to finish in 57th
- Jacob Chouinard led the Cleary JV team with three games of 180-131-233, and finished in 60th place overall
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,770 pins, and finished in 10th place overall.
In the Women's Meet:
- Courtney Witten paced the Cougars with a 9th place finish, bowling a three-game series of 178-167-214, totalling 559 pins
- Bowling a three-game series of 147-192-204 was Grace Polega, who knocked down a total of 543 pins, and finished in 14th place
- Knocking down a total of 496 pins was Aubrey Rowlson, who bowled games of 160-145-191, and finished in 40th
- Brianna Swickard knocked down a total of 436 pins to finish in 66th place, with games of 133-151-152
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,296 pins, and finished in 8th place at the meet.
Both teams will return to action next Saturday and Sunday when they bowl in the Midwest Collegiate Open at Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township, Michigan.
