Bowling Teams Open Up AHBA Conference Play in Canton

(Canton, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams began their AHBA conference play Saturday in Canton.
In the Men's Meet:
- Hunter Blackhurst led the Cougars with a 5-game series of 257-183-164-194-157 to finish in 30th place
- Zachary Delong finished in 49th, with games of 182-179-164-184-168
- Corey Goldsmith came in as a sub, and bowled four games of 159-176-190-241 en route to a 62nd place finish
- Matthew Radjewski bowled in three games, wiht a high of 225
As a team Cleary finished in 12th place out of 20 teams with a total of 6,506 pins knocked down.
In the Women's Meet:
- Hailee Hale earned a top-10 finish with a 5-game total of 157-200-211-220-177 to average 193 pins, and finishing in 8th place
- Amy Jackson finished in 50th place with a 4-game total of 147-171-169-172
- Cali Hunter finished in 51st, with a 4-game total of 166-167-142-168
- Finishing in 52nd was Samantha Dulz, who tallied a 4-game total of 166-181-153-140
- Leigha Rue finished in 58th, with a 4-game series of 167-118-191-118
As a team, Cleary finished in 10th place out of 15, with a total of 6,019 pins knocked down.
Both teams will be back in action next Friday and Saturday, when they bowl in the WHAC's 1st and 2nd jamborees of the season. Both will be held at Westgate Bowl in Comstock Park, Michigan and will begin at 7:00 AM.
