Coach Hayley Dann shared a few words about the team today:
"The girls fought hard all day today despite only having 4 girls, due to circumstances out of their control. Sophomore, Leigha Rue, bowled great out of the gate today and kept it going through the entire tournament, finishing 3rd individually. These girls have a lot of grit and made the best out of their situation today. I look forward to seeing what they can do when we have a full competition roster. There are a lot of positive things to take away from today and build on for the men's team. Sophomore, Corey Goldsmith, led the team with a 5th place finish individually. He was consistent all day and bowled great. We have some work to do when it comes to shot making and spares. A few more spares could've helped in how we finished today. Overall, there is a lot of potential and talent within our team, just have to get back to practice and work that much harder. I can't wait to see where we go from here."
The Cougar bowlers will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they head to Indianapolis to bowl in the C300 Western Shootout.
