Cleary Rocket League Claims 4th Place at WHAC Tournament; Awards Announced
(Southfield, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar esports Rocket League team participated in the WHAC Tournament on Saturday, after coming into postseason play as the #4 seed.
Cleary would lose their opening round matchup to #5 Aquinas 3-1, and defeated #8 Lourdes 3-0 in the consolation round 2 to stay alive. In the consolation round 3, Cleary defeated #6 Lawrence Tech 3-2 to advance to the consolation round 4 and the semifinals, where they took on #3 ranked Indiana Tech. The Warriors would win their matchup 3-0, eliminating the Cougars.
#1 seeded Rochester would win the tournament, claiming the Rocket League crown for the second straight season.
Also released at the tournament were the season awards. Cleary student-athlete Colin Jetten was named to the WHAC's Second Team All Conference.
