21 Cleary Student-Athletes Named 2025-26 NAIA Winter Scholar-Athletes

(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University is proud to announce that 21 of its winter sport student-athletes have earned recognition from the NAIA, and have been named 2025-26 NAIA Winter Sport Scholar-Athletes.
This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the winter sports who have excelled academically, including men's basketball, women's basketball, men's bowling, women's bowling, and men's wrestling. *Track & Field is recognized as part of the spring honors, and ACHA Hockey does not fall under the supervision of the NAIA*
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.
Men's Bowling had six student-athletes receive the honor: senior Ethan Parker, juniors Hunter Blackhurst, Howie Hammond, and Matthew Radjewski, and sophomores Jacob Chouinard and AJ Clark
Women's Bowling had three student-athletes receive the honor: junior Courtney Witten, and sophomores Olivia Solomon and Brianna Swickard
Men's Basketball had two student-athletes receive the honor: senior Jacob Mueller and sophomore Amare Slaughter
Women's Basketball had seven student-athletes receive the honor: seniors Samantha Hoelscher and Sydney McCaig, junior Caitlyn Rayl, and sophomores Grace Capling, Evalyn Cole, Makenna Jarratt, and Katie Martus
Wrestling had three student-athletes receive the honor: sophomores Preston Auld, Jack Gruno, and Jake Lynn
