Cleary Elevates Hoogerhyde, Victor to Assistant AD Roles
(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University Director of Athletics Max Ballinger has announced the promotions of Nick Hoogerhyde and David Victor, recognizing their impact on the department and continued commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience.
Hoogerhyde has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Operations after previously serving as Athletic Operations Coordinator. In his new role, he will assist in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of Cleary University Athletics, including game and event management, facility scheduling, and departmental logistics. Since joining the department in his current role in 2024, Hoogerhyde has been instrumental in coordinating home athletic events and supporting the successful execution of multiple programs across the department.
“Nick has been an invaluable member of our staff and a driving force behind our game day and operational success,” said Ballinger. “His leadership, organization, and commitment to our student-athletes make him highly deserving of this promotion.”
Victor has been elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Communications after serving as Sports Information Director for the past five years. In his expanded role, he will continue to oversee all athletic communications efforts, including media relations, strategic messaging, digital content, and brand management for Cleary University Athletics. He will also continue to oversee and maintain Cleary’s athletic website, clearycougars.com, all home game statistics, and Cleary Athletic’s social media presence. Since his arrival in 2021, Victor has played a key role in elevating the department’s visibility through storytelling, social media growth, and comprehensive coverage of its programs and student-athletes.
“David has done an outstanding job telling the story of our department and promoting the achievements of our student-athletes and coaches,” said Ballinger. “His creativity, professionalism, and vision have helped elevate our brand, and we are excited for his continued leadership in this new role.”
Both promotions are effective as of April 1st and reflect Cleary University Athletics’ ongoing investment in its staff and commitment to providing a first-class experience for its student-athletes.
