(Sept. 30, 2017 - Ft. Wayne, Ind.) -- Despite shooting one stroke better than his day one score, Trevor Spagnoletti dropped from a tie for fifth to 11th overall as his two-day total of 155 was eight strokes off the leader at the St. Francis Cougar Fall Invitational at Autumn Ridge Golf Club in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. 

Cale Carr of Huntington University was the individual champion with a two-day total of 147, which was one stroke better than Ian Coffey of the host Cougars and three strokes ahead of a quarter of golfers. 

Alex Wheeler (Sr. - Macomb, Mich.) shaved 10 strokes off his game on day two to finish at 168 to finish in a tie for 27th with Cameron Luczka of Indiana Wesleyan. 

Both Hogan Samples (Sr. - Howell, Mich.) and Robert Burnel (Fr. - Remus, Mich.) trimmed three strokes from day one to day two as each shot an 88 followed by an 85 to finish tied for 35th with final scores of 173. The duo were tied with Zarky Cummings of Huntington.

Andrew Brownlee (So. - Fowlerville, Mich.) was only three strokes behind his two teammates as his two-day total of 176 had him in 38th. 

Cleary as a team shot a total of 669, which was 69 strokes behind team champion St. Francis, who cruised to the title as they were 17 strokes ahead of runner-up Indiana Wesleyan. Cleary was 30 strokes behind fifth place finisher Olivet Nazarene, who dropped three spots on day two, and a half dozen strokes ahead of Bethel College, who was seventh.

All that remains on the fall docket for the men is the two-day USCAA National Championship Tournament held in State College, Pennsylvania on Oct. 9-10.
