(May 18, 2017 - Glens Falls, NY) -- Mickey Montpas hit .421 over the final six games and Payton Tyndall had a perfect game in his first start and kept the defending champions scoreless for four innings in his second outing and for their efforts both players were named to the USCAA Small College World Series All-Tournament Team.

Montpas (Sr. - Flushing, Mich.) added a pair of doubles and four RBI but it was his superlative defense that drew the attention of voters as he finished with a perfect fielding percentage, while several times throughout the tournament saved several teammates from errors while also spectacular plays with a diving stop here or a pinpoint throw there.

Tyndall (Sr. - Scottville, Mich.) was 1-1 with a 3.48 earned run average with nine strikouts in 10.1 innings of work. Tyndall had a perfect game broken up in the sixth inning in his 7-0 victory of Central Penn College in the Cougar's second game of the tournament.

The two selections are the first-ever in Cleary University history as the Cougars set a school record with 23 wins on the season as well as a record four wins in the postseason.
